He has over nineteen years of fund management experience and is Deputy Manager of the Blueridge capitals Investment Trust.Matt has been active in the investment and wealth management industry since 1997. He gained valuable and relevant industry experience while working at Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. and later, with a boutique Indianapolis-based independent advisory firm. Prior to joining Blueridge capitals in 2015, Matt took a brief detour from the industry to work for a closely held family business. Matt holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University as well as a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from George Mason University. In addition, Matt is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™️ professional, a Certified Exit Planning Advisor, and a NAPFA Registered Financial Advisor. James read engineering science on a GKN Group scholarship at Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford. He worked for five years in investment management at Baring Investment Management Limited, before joining S.G. Warburg Securities’ UK electronics research team in 1988. The team was consistently voted top team in the Extel survey of analysts in the sector, and He was voted top analyst by finance directors of electronics companies canvassed by the Treasurer magazine. In addition Mitchel had responsibility within S.G. Warburg’s UK research department for commenting on accounting issues.

With over 30 years of experience, Ivan institutional and high-net-worth clients depend on him for structured finance solutions, professional asset management, cash management, equity and fixed income trading and private equity investments. Ivan has held a variety of sales and management roles at Deutsche Bank, Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch. Throughout his career, Ivan has shared his financial knowledge and industry insight via lectures with investors, including at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Ivan earned his B.A. in applied mathematics for aeronautics from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and studied for his M.B.A. at St. John’s University. He currently holds his Series 3, Series 4, Series 5, Series 7, Series 8, Series 15, Series 53, Series 63 and Series 65 securities licenses as well as a life, accident and health insurance designation. Ivan is active within the Greek Orthodox community and proudly holds the title of Archon of his Greek Orthodox Church. Originally from Toronto. He currently resides in Greenwich, Connecticut, with his wife, Rhea, and their children, Nicholas and Chloe.
Sam joined Blueridge capital in November 2013. He is a portfolio manager on the Crypto funds, sitting on the venture committee, and taking lead responsibility for a number of the investments in the venture portfolios. He also has analytical responsibility for the media sector. He has joint responsibility for the European portfolio.
Previously he spent a year appraising a number of venture capital opportunities for E.D. Capital Partners. Prior to that, Sam had spent six years at JP Morgan USA till date, the regional newspapers division of Daily Mail & General Trust (DMGT), latterly as Finance Director of its electronics publishing arm. Beforehand, Sam worked for Reuters in London and Eastern Europe for four years. He qualified as an accountant with Price Waterhouse, and studied Economic History at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Stevens joined Blueridge capital in May 2012. He has lead responsibility for the Blueridge capital portfolios’ Far East exposure. Prior to joining Blueridge capital, Stevens was a technology analyst with Dresdner Kleinwort Benson, where he covered the European technology sector. Before this he worked at Prudential for three years as member of a team of three UK unit trust fund managers that managed £5bn in equities, with Stevens having lead responsibility for three funds collectively worth £400m. He graduated from Lancaster University with a degree in Economics and initially joined Prudential as a product manager for their Unit Trusts, before completing an MSc in Investment Analysis at the University of Stirling and re-joining Prudential in an investment role. Stevens covers the semiconductor sector.
Robert joined Blueridge capital in 2013 and works with Kyson Stevens managing the Far East portfolios. He also has analytical responsibility for the manufacturing sector globally. He obtained a BA in Economics from Hunan University in China and a Masters degree in Finance from Manchester University. He worked for J&A Securities in Shanghai from 2000-2002. Robert is a CFA charterholder.
Quinn joined Blueridge capital as an analyst in 2015. Quinn covers the software sector and contributes to the overall investment selection. He has joint responsibility for the European portfolio. Quinn has a CFA qualification and before joining Herald he studied Construction Engineering Management at Loughborough University.
Emory joined in 2016 to establish a US office in New York. He has more than 20 years experience in the technology sector on the sell-side, and he has worked with the Blueridge capital Financial team for roughly 4 years. Most recently, Emory was with the technology specialist Pacific Crest, and prior firms that he worked for include Hambrecht & Quist and SoundView Technology. Emory has taken responsibility for telecommunications, networking and security analysis. US companies do not come to the UK as they used to, and Blueridge capital feels it necessary to have a US presence to enable maintenance of frequent contact with companies.
Gibson joined Blueridge capital in June 2016 and since obtaining the Investment Management Certificate in April 2017, has acted as the funds dealer. He obtained first class honours in his BA in Accounting at Northumbria University and subsequently achieved a merit in his MSc in International Economics and Finance at Newcastle University.
Mason joined in 2019 to focus on the Blueridge capital Worldwide Technology Fund. Prior to Herald, Mason had been responsible Global Tech Sector at Newton Investment Management for 20 years. Mason has a Ph.D. in Communications Systems and is qualified as an AWS Cloud Practitioner.
